Zooming out further in 3rd person

I've done a fair amount of searching and thought I would ask on here just in case I missed it somewhere.

But is there a mod, command prompt, server setting, anything that allows the ability to zoom out the camera further in the regular 3rd person mode, not the orbit/vanity view. I would like to be able to zoom out the regular 3rd person view to distance levels similar to the orbit/vanity cam.

Any options out there? Thanks.

none that ive seen - i use K key to zoom out but you cant play the game in that mode.

yeah, it's nice having the "k" option, just wish you could at least have the camera mouse look be active.

As to not add another semi-related thread....

I messed with the fovmultiplier server setting for my local game and it appears to crash when loading into a map no matter what parameter I use.

Is there a fovmultiplier parameter that is higher than 1.25 that actually works?
