but it is not worth the trouble and problems regarding sli/crossfire
Does it only work in DX12 or what because I'm on Windows 7? Or does it still not work at all with this game (still?)
Also I wouldn't recommend you to play an unfinished game in 4K.. It's not even possible to get a constant 60fps on 1920x1080 yet
Also: dx12 isn't even in the game yet but win10 gives better performance in general
Well, it's here, where is the support?
Should I just get a refund now?
There are a lot of games out that do not support sli/crossfire. This game uses UE4 engine which means it cannot support sli/crossfire properly. Sli/crossfire use alternate frame rendering which means while one card works on one frame, the other is working on the second frame. UE4 uses a technique called deferred rendering. Each frame that is drawn requires information from the previous completed frame to render. So the game cannot be rendering two frames at the same time like AFR does in sli/crossfire because it has to wait for the previous frame to finish before it can start on the next.
This is interesting and useful, thanks.
I wouldn't get your hopes up much even if it is supported though as it's all down to low level programming, how well we will benefit and no 2 games are created equal with that regard.
lol, what a joke of a worthless opinion, which is all that is. On haters opinion, no facts.
Don't get me wrong as I'd love for dx12 and or Vulcan to show large improvements. It just doesn't seem that they are there yet for anyone, not just WC. Aside from Doom and AOS are there any other examples showing performance increases?
