I can't shear sheep

I put it on my action bar, I equip it, I press right mouse button and the scissors doesn't stay on the sheep. It goes off up into the air. It goes up above the sheep. Thank you!

equipt a rocket launcher and do "left click " while aiming the sheep

Right mouse button is for cutting your own hair, use lmb on sheeps.

Left clicking does the same thing, sadly.

What mods are you running? there have been several posts about problem usingthe shears due to mod conflicts.

For anyone else that finds this via Google, I had the same issue but I solved it by switching to first person. For some reason sheep shearing (or human hair shearing from your tribe mates) doesn't work in 3rd person.
