My character on a friends non-dedicated server. Please Help.

My friends and I just got this game and we all started playing on his non-dedicated server..He got offline and i still wanted to play so I went to single player and Non-dedicated server and I didn't see anyway to have that already higher level account.. i don't wanna have to start back at level 1.. Is there a way for me to transfer my character from my friends non-dedicated server to single player or my own server?

Other then you having you friend send you, your Charictor files i bileave you up a creek without a paddel.

You can only upload your items, dinos and charactors for transfer from his game while you are signed into his game. So no, until you play his game again nothing really you can do but start over

Also word of warning, ownership follows the charactor not the steam account so if you transfered an existing charactor to his game you will loose ownership of everything belonging to that charactor if you start a new one.

An alternative to waiting for your friend's server to be up:

Single Player Mode or any server you own means you are the admin there. You have full admin powers. You have already done the work so it isn't really cheating on Solo Player Mode if you decide to use your admin powers to give yourself XP.

1) Press TAB to enter & exit your command mode bar.

2) In the command mode barType or copy and paste the following for 1000 XP

admincheat addexperience 1000 0 1

NOTE: You can change the 1000 for any XP number you choose. If you are riding on a mount, the mount will recieve that XP instead of you.

Being Admin, you can give yourself gear, items, resources, dinos, Blueprints, etc. as well:

This is appreciated.. Thank you for the tip..I'm just hoping to bounce back and forth with my character.. but with this It'd kinda be the same as that cause i don't mind the new server. just minding the low level. xD

Hey, glad to help. Also glad to get your response - I would have wondered if you tried it. Having equal things on both servers is MUCH easier than the hassle of uploading / downloading IMO.

I usually play on official pvp servers. As such: I use Single Player Mode as an experimental testing ground so I won't waste valuable time & resources on trial and (costly) error where I actually play.
