Is possible to make a permanent server for ARK with ASM ?
So today I downloaded The ARK Server Manager or maybe some of you would know it as ASM !

I created my own server and I told to some of my friends to join in ! Everything worked fine but there was a small problem.

Because of the fact that I created the server when ever I was going to get out of the server and close the program everything stopped working ! So I search it a bit but sadly I wasn't able to find anything !

Now the main question that I have is....!
Is there a way to make a server permanently working even when the "admin" (which in that case is me ) is not online or maybe when I'm not using my pc at all ?

I would be glad to know if there is a feature in that program (ASM) that does such a favor ! or at least if you have any information about that question please share it :)

u need to leave ASM running 24/7 in order for people to stay connected.

Or learn how to run a server without ASM. I just use a little batch file that launches the server and I configure the INI files directly. But if you can't do that then yes, you have to leave ASM running as long as you want the server to run.

You could just rent a server from nitrado, they have support staff to help you use it too.

Can you explain that a bit please? Like what exactly do you mean with 24/7 ?
and do I have to keep my pc on so other people will have the ability to stay connected?

I tried to do one with SteamCMD but didn't work out is there any tutorial you followed to do that ?

Sorry but NO that is not correct at all. Not even close.
ASM is just a Managing Tool, closing ASM never ever closes the Server Threads.

@Mickey
DUDE the Server runs on YOUR PC, what did you expect to happen if you shut your PC down? Your router takes over the hosting of the Game?

When you press start server in ASM a command prompt open.. That is the ARK server. DO NOT close that. You can close everything else.
EDIT: There is also an option to start the server when windows start, if you have that enabled simply restart your computer and the server will start silently in the background.

Give the fact that he asks about shutting down the PC, NO not everything else, leave the Windows running too please.
