Tek legs won't super speed

i'm on a private server and have all tek items, each one is fully charged with element, they all work except legs, holding CTRL just makes you spam punch.
unbinding the key makes no difference, nothing seems to get super speed to work

Is it bound to Pistol Whip control?

rebound it to F9 (random key) and it worked, then had to change it back to CTRL

I'm having the exact same problem and tried rebounding the pistol whip to F9 and back and still it's not working. Also tried resetting my options from the options screen and still no go. I unlocked the Tek Leggings through beating the boss and they are powered.

If you have any suggestions or any updates for the solution please let me know

Just finally getting Tek Leggings and couldn't activate them and looking for assistance, thanks for helping :P

Make sure your not holding a weapon, or anything, and then press your melee key.

go check your key bindings. Whatever is your melee attack will be your super run, and you will hold it down while holding nothing and push forward like using a boat. A short animation will start. Same for super flight, I use CTRL which is default for melee attack. Have element in your inventory and do the above.
