Big fat fishes

So i was fishing with a friend today, fetched some good stuff. bigges fish we caught was 2.4 - 2.6. Then out of the Blue, there was a 3.5 & 3.7 fish. We tried to catch them, but with no success, we waited like 30 - 45min. Can you catch them at all? Or are they just big fat fishes, for lots of fish meat etc.

What bait did you use? If you´ve used treesap try leechblood instead

As above, sap is only good for coels, try leech blood for the great big salmon and piranhas. The big ones can be a little finicky, but do bite.
