i mean considering you have to feed them tamed dinos i wouldnt consider them an early game critter..

The very nature of the tame means it's not an early game tame unless you fed it dodos but it'd have to be a level 1 Troodon.

edit: just checked. level 1 troodon should need 8 level 179 dodos lol. So dumb.

There is a trick to it at night. Making it easier.

Not necesarily dodos. Any tamed animal. The more xp the animal gives on kill, the better. The Troodon has to kill it (and your animal has to be on neutral or agressive, it has to fight back).

Just use paracers. U build a small fence, kite a troodon in or fly him in and bring in your paracer. K.O it (your paracer) with tranq arrows and stand on top of it (It has to be on neutral). BEcause youre on top of it the troodon will hit it and eventually kill it (u can always just help a Little with your trusty pike). Jus make clear that the troodon kills it at night (then it gets tamed 2x faster=less dinos 2 sacrifice). Get yourself a few mid lvl paracers and u are the proud owner of a troodon. U also get a pretty sweet taming effectiveness that way.

'early game'

lol yeah, I doubt anyone has the resources to tame multiple paracers 'early game'... unless they try to tame them with slingshots and berries, which is annoying as F....

U can totally tame paracers just with tranq arrows and a tamed trike. U could even use brontos. A late game suggestion would be just waste your high lvl rexes because u have enough pulmonoscorpion kibble anyways and its way faster.

You don't need to waste your actual rexes, you can just breed them and feed the babies to the Troodons. :) Works just fine. If you use Spinos or Gigas or Quetzals, even better.

Wow thats just murder for the babies lol Any suggestions on early game protection from these damn troodon's i see them more around my base than raptors.

Really early game? A few good Trikes should do it (mateboosted). Maybe you can already get a Carno. And build a wall around your base.

is it wierd that troodons, to me seem like early game dinos, and yet only way to tame them efficently, or possible is later game. i mean th tracking, seeing if any dinos r near u is something that would be extremely helpful early game to make sure no big predators are around or to just find food, since during late game most people have flyers that can find those things or big dinos that pretty much kill everything, really strange how they made them so hard to tame :I

try taming them at night. I hear that makes a bid difference

>Tame 2 high lvl dodos
>make then breed and inbreed like Lannisters
>once your server says no one can tame any more dinos and your Titan runs at 5 FPS in low setting, release a couple of wild trodons into the dodo cage
>????
