Scissors don't work?

Okay first I need to give you context, I live in the southern islets but I need an animal from the north ((specifically an Argentavis)) but I can't go in the north for too long because my Chitin armour + torch doesn't give me enough heat, so I though about making fur armour, so I got the engram for scissors, crafted it, put it on my hotbar and just like the wiki said, I right clicked to use it on my own hair, at first I though "may I need to take off my helmet" I did and it didn't work, what do I do to fix this? :c

odd, maybe it glitched because u took off ur helmet AFTER equiping scissors (just a guess)
You dont need to un equip ur helmet so try it equiping scissors with out it and with it but dont change it AFTER u equip the scissors do it before

Edit fyi u dont need to put it in hotbar either - i just use 'equip' from inventory

did u check to see if ur characters hair was grown at all?

Yes, she has it fully grown.

I unequiped my helmet after I put the scissors in my hotbar, because I tried it once and then it didn't work, so then I tried taking off my helmet.

hmmm then im not sure pal i guess 1 thing u could try is going back to the main menu and going back in to see if that fixes it

but hey im glad that hair can be used for something in this game cause going to the red woods for pelt is hell cause of what lives there

im more so refering to redwood terrors like carnos, raptors, being ambushed by giant lions, packs of allo's, flocks of killer flappy birds and i think getting jumped by purlovias (if they even spawn there at all)

Giant lions? there aren't giant lions in this game, als I was more likely to get killed by a purlovia then any of those other things you've mentoined.

Anyway, back to the OPs issues. Are you running... heck I forget the name of it, it's a nude mod... Au naturale maybe? I know there were a bunch of posts here about an issue where that mod prevented female characters from fishing or cutting hair. Might still be an issue. :shrug:

But they aren't real lions, they're closer related to possums than lions. =3=
