Let's talk about ways to do the tek cave.
First off, 50 tames that you can't get back, HAH, no thanks wildcard. I'm just going to mindwipe, put all my points into speed and glide through the cave with an archa.

Do you actually have to kill the dinos in the cave, or can you just skip them all and run straight to the terminal?

Glad to hear it. Wasnt going to let that stop me! But if I had gear wiped in that manner, I wouldnt mind spawning it back in. If I am to lose tames or gear, its from actually fighting and dying, not from glitches or piss poor mechanics!

start of this week, the tek cave still wiped my character inventory (SP). thanks wildcard. ascended gear gone. :(

I used some soups, no weapons (fighting wastes time and movement speed), and grappling hooks. I've done it with less than 10 once, but I go down with 20. Get them to chase you while you fly over Lava or get through as quickly as possible. I use grappling hooks to fly like spiderman through the cave system. Only the flyers can get at you if you're still, but remain high enough above the others. They will chase you into the final cave area and just grapple up over the water that causes damage, all the way up to the terminal. Once the terminal is activated you are in its forcefield. I don't even wear armour, so all I lose are the excess grappling hooks, crossbow, and time remaining on the used soups. I dive down with the lava fall since its the quickest way down. No dinos go in with me. I've done it many times solo, but you will die several times before you figure out how to move through quickly on the quickest path & with a lot of luck, but it is possible. A Ghillie suite may help hide your movements. Best thing to do is to go down and just spidey fly around to see how long you can last without getting hit to death. You'll see their patterns of movement, and how to escape them. Sadly they may cut out the use of the grappling hook like the other Boss Arenas since this is to become a Boss Battle in the near future, or new release/bug fix.

I've done all 3 this way:
Tek Cave on Easy (gamma) + 5 Level
Tek Cave on Middle (Beta) +10 Level
Tek Cave on Hard (Alpha) +15 Level

My experience is different. After beating any level overseer you must quickly drop down to one of your tames and offload ALL your gear, potions, weapons ammo tek stuff whatever into your dino's inventory. When you respawn at your sleeping bag by your Argie make sure you have good ghillie suit waiting till you find the dino with all your gear. I did the Alpha Overseer many times till I won by saving the "SAVED" (steam, steamapps, common, Ark, shootergame) file on my desktop. No need to lose anything and too much disinformation in this article BTW.

You do realize this thread is over six years old, and all of this CHANGED EXTENSIVELY AND REPEATEDLY. Of course your experience is different. The game changed.
