I have. Here are some pointers.

The bees will repair the hive while you're trying to damage it, while others try to murder you. So you have to keep at it, no hit and run.

Every time you damage the hive, more bees spawn. So try and kill it in one hit, or face a large swarm.

When and if you break the hive, the Queen will appear and try to fly away. I'm not sure if she's a passive or knockout tame yet.

You need to destroy it. When you start hiting it, a few bees will comes out and if you are flying it will kick out from the mount. Bees do decent damage too. After dibe with it, you will see dead giant bee on the ground (it give only meat and chitin). However the honing itself will stay where was the hive and you will need to climb up to get it.

Do bees drop a reasonable amount of chitin? And/or are froggable? Wondering if intentionally damaging but not killing a hive is a static, farmable source of chitin...

queen bee is supposed to be a passive tame using rare flowers or a kibble that i dont remember
