Pack boost, what is it?

The wiki just says on compy "more info needed on pack boost" Exactly what does it do? Because googling ark pack boost just gives a bunch of threads of people begging for pack boosts for various dinos but no explanation on what it is.

From what I've gathered i believe it gives more damage and damage resistance. Don't quote me on that but I'm fairly certain.

Yup just did a little digging and it's just like a mate boost giving damage and damage resistance. (A mate boost gives +33% DMG and dmg resistance so I'm assuming it's a similar amount to that.)

And further digging turned up this on the wiki page of the compy.
"The Pack Boost is the number of the animals in the Pack.

A "pack" of two Compys will receive a +1 Bonus, which will go up to +8 in a Group of 9 or more Compys.

Further info on the effect needed."

Yes I mentioned that already.. the wiki basically says nothing more than you'll get it. but what it is or how much is left to the imagination. Where did you find the actual details on it?

I'm​ not exactly sure where i found the info on the page but it was http://ark-survival-evolved.wikia.com/ and i gleaned alittle bit of info from http://ark.gamepedia.com/. Anyway all it said was "Compy's gain a pack boost similar to the mate boost other creatures gain." But from alot of microraptor breading it, I'm sure you gathered, it increases with more of them i cant really say the exact amount of boost they get per pack member or anything but it does make a difference in combat. Not sure if it helps but i hope it does.

I'm sorry, are you an idiot? I'm asking specifically what the pack boost is, what he details are. Saying "it boosts the pack" isn't an answer.

sadly no.. the effect is what I'm after. I already got that it did "something" but I'm looking more for what that something is, so that I can understand its effect.

basically for every member of a pack above 1, +5% damage attack/resistance so for compys a pack of 9+ is +40% attack damage and resistance to damage.

Hey just wanted to add to this discussion. I know I'm a bit late, but the pack bonus is a bonus to the pack.
