Lost Control of my character breifly

^^ Like the title says. I was filling troughs with berrys & then all of a sudden my character started jumping around, pulling out my weapons, whisteling "all follow" etc. The only thing I could do was hit the esc key, log off. Once I logged back on its all back to normal. WTF was that? Are admin able to troll players like that? Lame

By the way, it was on an official server too.

How would lag, make my character perfom actions I didnt input? lol & that would not be a ddos.

Not that I have ever heard. A Hacker might be able to though if they can get past the battleye, etc.

There are a few viable reasons why your character could do those things and they have nothing to do with an admin trolling you.

For example, a keyboard failure (do you use a wireless keyboard/controller) could send extraneous keypresses.
I suppose a bad internet connection could send junk characters (do you live in a rural area or in a place where you could have wi-fi interference).

Assuming that admins are so bored that they would take over you character and jump around or pull out your weapons is silly considering that they could just teleport you underwater or delete stuff from your inventory, if they really wanted to troll you.
If you think that an admin was trying to show off, consider that they would get a LOT more attention by appearing in front of you in full Tek gear than by making your character jump around.

When things go wrong, it is not always a worst case scenario. Sometimes it is just a glitch in the matrix.
If you let your imagination control you... eventually you'll start seeing dieties in tortillas and ET behind every bush.

I've had similar problems, very rarely. The connection where I plug in my mouse is a bit wonky, and sometimes, the touchpad on my laptop picks up stray signals from my huge hands. This sounds like a hardware problem to me.

If you have a failing razer naga like me you'll do all sorts of stupid things without touching any buttons :P

Wired g19 keyboard, wired gaming mouse. If it was a hardware problem, logging off the server & then relogging back on would not of solved the random things my character was doing involuntarily.

The closest thing I've ever noticed to that is that, after the last major update, my character occasionally whistles at random, which can really ♥♥♥♥ things up.

There's also a glitch where I've noticed my fabricator turn itself on when I was the only one online on the server.
