Will there ever be a sound option to turn generator noise off?

The noise the generator does is so annoying, Sure it is realistic, but this is a game and it should be fun, and i see no way anyone would ever have fun in hearing that noise. It is just bothersome. If someone really enjoys the noise they could just leave the sound option on. Or at least the possibility to build a upgraded silent generator some day.

there are silent generator mods, but I doubt there will be a vanilla option other than the wind turbine from scorch

S+ generator is silent.... but it is a mod, and it has an option to *hide* all connected cables.

If you are playing on an official or unmodded server, do not count on it. Before Structures+, I always built a separate room for the generator and placed it far away from the core of my base.

Yep i play on a official server, sadly where i have my base there is not really that much space, but i guess I will have to do that anyways. Maybe they could add soundproof walls, so you could put it in a seperate room inside your house.
