My first thought was: the sound engineer when he was out recording for ambient sounds that he caught some one being silly in the background. But then I figured their engineer wouldnt be -that- slopping and thought that more than likely they had the death knell yell in the background to make it feel a bit more scary(and that someone may not be alone etc).
One way or the other I think it and some of the other ambient sounds are emmersion breaking simply because they're not corresponding to animals actually in that location in the game. Hearing wolves while on top of a mountain(and where it absolutely doesnt sound distant or echo traveled) and know that know wolves spawn in that area or even close to that area is just silly.
I get they want more sounds to the game and have been adding alot of changes that feel like its being done so for change sake more than reason, but some of this stuff needs to be reined in.
I DO KNOW THIS NOISE!! Oh my God, there was a pack of Coyotes fighting a couple hundred feet from our tent in Yosemite national park, it woke the whole campground up. It was the most eerie uncomfortable sound I've ever heard.
Also, Dev's PLEASE read this forum post and make something more than just ambient noise, that would be sooooo freaking cool if there was some creepy elusive creature behind this noise. I love stuff that scares me!
ALIENS
just to note theres Red , blue and green obis .
Indeed but color wise in game most of the time the damn thing is orange looking, even on a 1080ti :P
