Dire Wolf pack buff
Going to the official wiki does not yield anything of value in regards to this outside the buff capping at 4 dire wolves and the patchnotes hinting the buff was apparently strong enough to make them unbalanced on Scorched Earth so they re-rigged the spawns to spawn alternate Dire Wolves. The devkit patch is not released at this point so none can simply delve into it to find out the unwavering truth.

Has anyone done any sort of tests to see the following:

1)what the pack buff does to the alpha that surpasses the other members
1.5)if it is not only a change to stats and adds some sort of alternate effect to attacks or something along those lines that would be appreicated knowledge as well
2)a general idea for how much deadlier each additional dire wolf makes the members, not asking to know if it is equal to Mate Boost or how much Yuty buffs, more along the lines of '2 wolves could not hope to beat X dino, 3 wolves put up a fight, 4 wolves made it out alive and 5 wolves wiped the floor with X dino' in a controlled setting(wolves are equal in level to X dino, 1 of the wolves and X dino being set to aggressive in different tribes, terrain that is not blatantly favoring one or the other(narrow pass favors X dino if large, rocky terrain favors wolves if X dino is large)

This would be valuable knowledge for a multitude of players, not just myself.

I'm not sure why they're too powerful on SE particularly, but my guess is it's not because they're too strong, just that they spawn in too many areas including starter areas, where in the other maps they're mostly limited to areas where you're already expecting that kind of danger.

My pack is still showing the buff even after the update in SE. And wild ones I've seen do too, but that may be just that the spawns haven't been cleared and respawned.

Not sure what buff does but they are pretty strong! At least in the area between the plains and the snow where you can get tagged with 8 or more at one time never mind the occasional yutyis lol
