in the latest update they wanted to fix bugs.
i know they cant fix all bugs in one patch, so i still hope.
but they still escape and kapros and purlovia fall through ceilings. always !!!
if someone knows how to make it right. i would be happy too xD
All land dinos on wander do not move at all when underwater in a Vacuum Compartment but that does make a costly box for them.
I have had beetles for most of my play time and never lost one, snails since they came out, never lost them.
A long time ago when I learnt how to make an enclosure for them I was told that the absolute critical rule is that hard up behind the cage must be a wall and I have never deviated from that rule.
So place a cage, on foundations, normal ground or ceiling on pillar, makes no difference. Directly behind that cage is a wall, 2 high. Wall can be snapped to fence foundations, normal foundation or ceiling, doesn't matter as long as cage is in direct contant with it.
That's it.
In fact on my last server I had my entire, very large yard in the Redwood Biome on the Center, and within it on wander, a pack of raptors, a pack of dire wolves, several moschops, several mesopithecus, and dung beetles and snails, and not once did any one of them get out -- except for once when I found I had a gap in the wall. Other players on the same servers have used the same technique without problem. The trick seems to be if the creature is on bare ground or not. On bare ground it never slips through walls around it.
"There is no wall"
Honestly though it seems like different things work for different people so just try different methods until you find one that works for you.
