What crops do I need to grow?

but now I have a trike :D
What is important to grow?
Kinda new to the game so :D

The four veggies are always needed. Citronal, Savoroot, Rockarrot, Longrass. Dunno what type of server you are on but veggies are always good XD.

Well, you need to plant the advanced crops, they are used for the kimble.

1 - Citronal
2 - Longrass
3 - Rackaroot
4 - Savaroot

well there are 4 'Advanced Crops' you can only get from planting but ... you will likely only need 3 if only for the Sweet Cakes. There are also 2 more that are 'Defensive' Plants (plant X and plant Y) depending on the map your using. So if you have a berry gatherer ...
If your just wanting to make a garden to grow things i would start out with Rockarrot Seed,Longgrass Seed and Saveroot Seed. I havent actually found a need for the Citronal yet but ...

edit: i take that back - i forgot that bug repellant uses citronal so i guess i change my mind and suggest all 4

All of those, my garden has those plus mejoberry (Used in most kibbles) Narco (to make Narcotics every morning with whatever spoiled )Stimberry (Stimulants to make sweet vegi cake)
Those are ones I use and I have 2 (PvE server) Plant X set up high to shoot at wild dinos too close to pen or that might spawn in my pens,

My starter garden is usually 1-2 large plots of each advanced crop. I use a trike/iguana/etc to gather berries so no need for those on crop plots

I do use plant-x when I got a decent size fertilizer setup, else I just use passive defenses like spike walls and such
