Red skull icon?

Anyone know what the red skull icon means? I couldnt find anywhere on the wiki or internet of anyone talking about it, it's not the regular poisoned skull and bones, its basically that but red.

Also, hit H when you get a debuff like that, it tells you what it's called and what it does.

Yeah definitely is the Mega Rabies. Lasts 80 (90?) seconds and lowers hp and stamina.

If you're not sure what something on the HUD means you can press and hold the H key and it'll give you a brief description of it.

Where did they even come up with rabies for this? They're venomous. Even accounting for the long debunked theories of monitor lizards killing prey through bacteria infested mouths, it's not rabies.

All I did was basically say rabies didn't make sense. I didn't yell at anyone to change it, I didn't even criticize the devs for doing it. Honestly, if I was going to criticize things in this update, and believe me, I really could,it certainly isn't this, because it's just the naming of a disease. So, why don't you just step off your high horse and take a few steps back and calm down.

Think of it this way. It's not really rabies, but the first survivor who got it didn't know what to call it since he left his biochemistry lab back home, so he started calling it rabies and everyone else just followed suit. That's how everything else gets named, so why not?
