Electrical outlet not connecting to electronics? ((SOLVED))

Okay so I went out ocean mining and got tons and tons of oil, and so naturally I turned it all into gasoline,but then I realized with all this gasoline I could build an electrical generator so I could power my electronics a lot more effeciently and finally build a fridge, so I built the generator, made some cable, built a little outlet and placed it next to my industrial grill, the wiki said a little black wire is supposed to come out and connect to it but.....that didn't happen, tell me what I did wrong here, and yes my generator is centered.

((thanks for helping me, now I know the grill isn't an electronic, I just thought it was because it had electronic light bulbs on it))

Did you turn the generator on? Not trying to be a smart ass, I ask because the cable in your pic is black and if it has power then it will be yellow.

Either your generator is not turned on, or one of your cable connections is not right.

Did you place down a cable and then snap your generator to it, or did you just place a generator and stick a cable near it thinking it would magically connect??

Same reason a grill today uses propain. Electricity does not burn.

The chem bench is the only crafting station that uses both.

Just like gas stoves, or propane grills in real life don't plug into your wall or even have an outlet.
