not much per second i would guess.
it would be easy enough to test yourself if you care - just go do nothing and keep up with your skill points for exactly 1 min then devide by 60 :P

Depends on your level... but I remember way back in the beginning at low level was getting exp every 5 seconds and I would just sit in game when afk and come back 5-6 hrs later and be leveled up. But the last time I checked again was at lv 85 June last year and was getting idle exp every 5-7 minutes (unsure of exact time due to random lag spikes in official).
Thats how it was for me back then so not sure if its been patch or still the same to this day...

I'm not sure it is constant.
The xp ticks come fairly often for low level toons. You can gain the points to jump a level just standing still on the beach. You can get eaten too!!!

At higher levels, I don't notice xp ticks unless you are doing something to earn it. Or maybe after you get into the hundreds of thousands, you can't see the decimals anymore.

If you're wondering how long you'd have to leave your computer on to max out a toon... your operating system will be obsolete by then, you won't live that long, and the sun will have gone dark.

I thought the above 2 posters were wrong so I went in game and tested it and they are right, it does depend on your level with a constant tick at level 1 but on the level 88 character I checked, no tick at all for the 1 minute I was looking at it.

On the level 1, it looked to be about 0.1 xp every 5 seconds.

Thanks. That is helpful.

No. That's not what I am wondering at least not specifically i am extending levels on my server with 5 additional levels that will have very high exp requirments for little gain. I was trying to see what level of xp I beed to idle up in 1 month of no activity.

Well go do the math... test on solo play and set your character to whatever top level you're planning to increase for 24 hours with god mode so you dont die and sit there for 6,12, and 24 hours then multiply the exp you gain by 120, 60, and 30. That should give you the answer you need.

Yes. Obviously. But I am not near a computer. I am just trying to a little preplanning before I get home and was hoping someone might already know.

Thank you though.
