Unicorn Spawns Where? [The Center]

I don't mean the Equus, I literally mean the Unicorn. I've searched most (if not all) discussions trying to find where the Unicorn spawns in The Center map. Although I couldn't find any luck with that.

I've only seen the Equus spawn, and I'm wondering if the Unicorn really does spawn on that map.

I hate to not be of use but it certainly might not spawn on the Center, I've never seen ammonites on the map either.

My understanding is:

1. Only one wild one will spawn per server. Once tamed, another will eventually spawn.
2. That they share the same potential spawn spots of any equus spawn location.

That said, Ive read of others getting unicorns on the center. However if a server is unlucky enough to have a unicorn fall under the map(as the center has been infamous for dinos doing that), potentially one may have to wait a long while.

Center map has ammonites. Killed two of them some days back myself.

Well we have a unicorn in my tribe so it definitely spawns. It was found on the south tropical island, I imagine they can spawn whereever the Equus do. They're just very rare to find.

And yes there are ammonites as well, I've seen plenty of those you just have to go to the bottom of the ocean to find them.

Only one per server. Total. At least that's what Jen has stated in the past.

incorrect, I tamed a unicorn, then about a month later, my server alpha tamed another.

Unicorns can breed with other unicorns they can not breed with an Equus.

And that's been confirmed my Jen in the past, are you sure they didn't download it or have it spawned in by an admin ( if you're on unofficial)?

We are on official. There were 2 unicorns, and both are tamed. Either that or he brought it overe, which I didnt think he did but he may have now that I think about it.

I have seen wild unicorns in herbivore island (well I am using the "Pugnacia" mod) so i think it is different for me. I killed one and another never spawned.... I guess they ARE rare.

Its 1 wild spawned at a time, not tamed. once you tame it a new wild one will spawn eventually but only 1.

I was able to find 3 Equus's all in the same spot. But went around all night trying to find the Unicorn and no luck. Like retsam said, it could depend on the luck of the server. (Because we can't find Ankylosaurs that often either)

Well I mean I don't want them to spawn in a Unicorn. It kind of takes out the challenge from the game if the admins do spawn it in. I'm just gonna wait and see if it's possible that it will spawn soon.

Nah don't spawn one. Just be aware (although this is up in the air as some people are saying different things) that if somebody already tamed one, that's it. There are no more.
