so after 9 hours off trying literally everything on the web from steamcmd to the ark survival server manager itself,my server will run only if I start it via the game but then I cannot play myself,no matter what I do the batch file keeps just closing...why is there so many problems with this ridiculous stuff man?9hours and still nothing,on the web its the same bs after another with steamcmd and that does NOT work!!!!!here is my .batch file I created after starting a dedicated server via ark itself and copying th data off the running server yet it cannot be found ingame nor could I play on it as it says ark is running....please help me guys,this is frustrating the crap out off me and online is riddled with griefing kids so its absolutely 0 fun there,pve or pvp

I did block the passwords out but they fit,why wont this idiotic batch file launch or give me an error?btw I tried adding listen to the end and I tried ALL the guides online,none off them helps and all off them have the same info but on theisland commands it wont work either,aaaaarrrrghhh what a mess

Have you tried Ark Server Manager (ASM)?

I downloaded that but its just random files,not one .exe

and why the f does ark tickets keep the submit button greyed out even after providing dxdiag?they already stopped taking tickets?

Wait.... You downloaded it but did not find the exe? It should have one...

Try downloading from the source:
http://arkservermanager.freeforums.net/thread/3/downloads

It should contain an exe, the extra files are needed to run it, just like any other program....

Batch file has to be in the same folder as the exe.

yes thx garth it seems my link was bad I get the .exe now but one problem,i am stuck on publicating server

The only thing that would cause that is improper port usage. Make sure the ports are open.

Well i did get it running after registry edits to windows root...now its just the problem off making it show in unofficial instead off lan...thx for your help btw☺

I think for you it always be on lan. For friends join they must add the server through steam, like view, servers, add as favorite by the IP. Then in game they search for favorite servers and join.

if it is on the same network you play your game on, you will play lan.. so will anyone else in your house...


others outside your network will find your server thru unofficial or add your EXTERNAL IP to favorites

also sometimes it takes a few minutes to register on server lists after it is up and running
