But yea i get what you mean, just remember there are higher quality Fur Gear that would likely help out much more, the starter level fur gear isnt much help.
the weather can be harsh- 1 fire and 20 Fort isn't going to do it on cold nights or in the snow biomes. 2 fires minimum (stand between them) and more Fort will help.
It's very easy to work out what temperature that would be because you know your thermal insulation and the point at which you would be cold and freezing so just a matter of math to work out temp ranges.

At least it isn't Chitin armor, that is the ultimate example of an armor that doesn't do its job well.
On the upper west side of Frozen Fang I have a small mining camp. Flying there at night I can still sometimes get a snowflake, no ice cube.
I just stay in the hut until daylight. I use the cold as the excuse to stay indoors, but actually because of who lives in the neighborhood.
