Anyone want to help me freeze the clock with Cheat Engine?
I would appreciate any help finding the correct value(s) to freeze the clock. I'm an amateur at this so I'm struggling.

Gone are the days where games came with their debug-modes being unlockable.

Seriously, why do people care about cheats in a SP game, are you guys part of the moral gaming patrol or something?

You can run out of things to do with the EP ability time freeze.. also you need the time enable to do certain events.

Pretty much this. If you want to freeze Time, do it with Chronostasis, several Events Ingame do require a different Time difference.

Meaning, you can't go into a Room because the Door will open one hour later.

Time management isn't needed, I'm almost completing the Third Area while having completed Luxerion / Dead Dunes and that on my Third Day Ingame.

These anti-cheat people in here are like religious zealots. It's a single player game. Why should anyone give a damn? I don't care how someone else chooses to play a single player game. It doesn't affect you, me, or anybody else in the slightest. It's such a dumb thing to get upset about. If it was up to these people we wouldn't have a command console in games like Skyrim either.

Or people can use this trainer to freeze and unfreeze it whenever they want without the pointless limitation. And this isn't what I would even consider a cheat. Nothing of difficulty is being bypassed. This elimiates the tedium of reactivating chronstasis over and over while while also being forced to fight extra enemies to maintain EP. The timer does not add challenge to the game. Any challenge you can find in this game is within the battle system.

I completed LR way back when it first released and still had like 7 days to spare. That's not the point though. Some people just want the option to freeze the clock whenever they want, whether it's for exploring or bypassing tedius events. People should be able to ask for these things without these self-righteous anti-cheat zealots losing their ****.

As Serah Is Love said, there really is no point in you guys raiding this thread. You're never going to dissuade people from using it. Besides, there really is no harm whatsoever to everyone else. If someone complains about the game by citing that xy is bad because he cheated, then everyone would have a point at flaming them. In this case, just let them do whatever they like. It doesn't harm anyone else whatsoever.

There is no "moral integrity" in cheating at a single player game too. I assure you that even an eSports player wouldn't be past cheating if he thought he could have fun in a single player game. People play single player games to relax and have fun and enjoy something. As long as we're not getting threads on why the game is crap because z cheat is used, there really is no need to flame anyone who wants to enjoy the game through cheats.

If you don't like it, just stay out of it. Nobody is going to be hurt. There is absolutely no reason to be flaming people who cheat in this game, because frankly, it has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of us.

If you must do this, just give yourself infinite EP, and use Chronostasis to pause the clock. Trying to directly stop the in-game time through Cheat Engine will probably break a few things.

+1. Forgot to mention that this is probably the safest way ^

Haha.

It just makes people sad that enjoy challenge to have other people cheat the challenge away and prove that they have no skill. Not only that, but it's hard to imagine the game being any fun when you can't lose. I realize that people play games for different reasons, but it bothers me personally when people won't even try. They just jump straight on to the cheats at the first sign of adversity. Or even if it just -sounds- like it might be a bother, like the timer on this game, which is really not a big deal at all. It's pointless to cheat it, and very unnecessary.

Nice post

Haha.

i'm kinda mixing it up between chrono stasis and freezing time. so far had no game breaking bugs for using it.

and its much more enjoyable for me. no more rushing. i can take my time of doing quests and exploring locations which i normally couldn't.

i don't consider it cheating, because i've beaten the game 5 times on the X360 version. so the day i know it came out on PC. i would just wait for a trainer to stop the time.

anything else i play legit. because i want to do all quests on my first playthrough :)

It's not like I didn't know this topic would attract self-righteous anti-cheating zealots. In fact, I predicted before I even created this topic that it would turn into exactly what it turned into. The type of people who can't handle someone playing a single-player game differently than them. My advice to you is to grow up. No really, grow up. I'm not sure what else to tell you. Really just slow down and ask yourself what why you're getting so worked up about something so silly.

Especially when you don't understand the circumstances of the person using such cheats. In my case, I've already beaten this game twice and platinumed it on PS3. I'm not "sucking the challenge out of the game" and I'm not "cheating myself". I'm not missing anything I haven't already seen and experienced twice. Furthermore, it's a mechanic I've never really cared for, so taking it out of play is a win-win for me. Some people really like the clock. Good for them. They're welcome to continue playing with it. Having choices is a great thing. More choices for the player is one of the great benefits of PC gaming. Anyone who doesn't understand this, doesn't appreciate PC as a gaming platform. It's just too bad there are so many people who simply cannot handle someone daring to play differently than them.

Such a bizarre thing to be so elitist and self-righteous about.

I don't think it's that much about someone playing the game differently, but more about playing the game in a way that it never was meant to be played.

I don't think it's that much about someone playing the game differently, but more about playing the game in a way that it never was meant to be played.
Which is an equally silly thing to get worked up about. People play games in ways they were "never meant to be played" all the time. Plenty of games without official mod support still have mods. That also is playing the game in a way that wasn't intended.

Really I think it's just because the clock was a controversial mechanic so people get defensive over it.

Yeah, that goes both ways here. For the ones who like the clock, and those who don't want to play with it enabled. Personally I like the clock, it gives the game a certain kind of "edge" which gives the whole doomsday-themed story a lot more suspense.
