But the mode is still not well done, but the game overall is still pretty good.
Which level did you try? I'm refering to the replaying the 1st level, which is a huge amount of space to build in. In fact, I eventually optimized the tower positions enough that they no longer made it past the first 1/3rd of the path. They actually had more problems making it to the base at the end than earlier on.
If you're fustrated, keep trying. I'm guessing there isn't a big difference between lose and total win... meaning if you build a little slower than you need to, you will lose, but it you can build a faster and better, they can't win.
If you want to know how to do this, send me a friend request.
At the moment, I don't want to post "spoilers", because they will make the first time run through too easy for people. If I find enough other people have already posted them though, I'll probably post them myself here or elsewhere.
Oh... I almost forgot. You obviously can grind the rubies by replaying earlier levels whenever you get stuck to make things easier. I sort of liked doing that just as a mindless way to kill time...
I forget that can be an issue making Survival mode easier because I had already upgraded everything by the time I rearched survival mode...
On the other hand, since I think the towers were all I needed (I forget that the very beginning of the level was like) I/you don't need the Base and One-time-use Weapons, so you can reset all those upgrades and so I/you just need enough total rubies to get all upgrades for the towers I/you use.
