Undo this Change in the Beta Immediately and Stop Doing big Swing Balance Changes like this (For Now)
This Change:
"Building Upkeep now gradually increases as the years pass, starting unchanged but climbing steadily, about 50% higher after a century and several times higher by the late game. This makes maintaining a large number of buildings an increasing economic burden the longer your campaign runs."

And changes like this in a horrifically unstable game like EU5 is so messy and so unwarranted it makes any attempt to give you feedback a fruitless endeavor. I cannot comprehend the desire to take big hatchets at the game with massive balance change implications when the game itself isn't in a good state.

1. AI and Player Mercenary Spam is Still and Issue
2. AI Conqueror stuff is an Issue
3. Event and Situation Bugs galore
4. Colonies are horrifically unprofitable, annoying as crap to use, and ahistorical (I mean the sheer tonnage of just Gold Spain extracted from the Americas in 100 years was more than had been mine in Europe in all of history up to that point!)
5. The AI still doesn't understand what its even doing half the time so taking a hatchet to its economy, which it STILL cannot manage properly by the way, is so ill advised I just...

Most of the beta is good to fine, have to see on the pop and filling out jobs thing because your borked that with the last patch with another WILD balance swing and miss when the game was ALSO in a messy state but I do NOT understand trying to "Balance" against the player when the AI doesn't even do what its supposed to do to present a challenge in the first place because its so buggy and broken and then you just keep stacking additional complications onto the AI for no reason whatsoever.

Point being: Fix the game, get it stable, THEN we can have a discussion of balancing and where it should be so we can understand what is doing what its supposed to be doing and what's just broken. When 25% to 50% of the game just isn't functionally properly STOP balancing the game!

You do that and want to rebalance the game, fine, that's what the Betas are for. I'll support you then.

If they want to counter snowballing, or at lest inhibit it. Then they ought to possibly place a 10% cost to various things (RGO's for instance) as each age passes, rather than a gradual impost. A nation ought to be rewarded to maintaining fiscal responsibility and low inflation. I have similar criticisms for the new costs of Bureacracies, they're nigh unaffordable.
Instead of flat out money sink per year they could base the Building Upkeep penalty on the economy of the country so richer nations pay more but poor ones pay less, balancing out the game (or some other modifier that prevents richer becoming even richer).
