Are you using any mods? I'm having the same issue, even when starting a new game, but after disabling every mod I had active and running the game vanilla it loads fine. Now I just have to cycle through every mod, one by one, to find out which one causes it.

Looks like it was GlorpUI. I ran it by itself and it gave me the issue.
