is there any chance to get a starting date in early modern times when the game has developed the post feudalism period better?

I hope they add this someday, it's present in other games like HOI IV, CK 3... (i don't rememer EU4),

Meanwhile it should be in a free update not gated behind DLC
There also were various different starting dates in EU IV in the vanilla version.

However, I think with the complexity EU V has, it would need a DLC given that early modern has nothing to do with the original middle age world. It costs a lot of work to balance this.

Imho the problem is that the devs in EU V currently just transferred the goals of a modern mindset to a middle age map and frame anyway so that basically the player can start with painting the world his colour in the middle ages regardless of the historical period.

Starting with early modern and the nation state this makes sense again (though definitely realistically not possible with any of the small states).

Therefore a DLC that starts with a map administrations, cultures, and military specific of these centuries is good value for money and increases replayability since it is similar to a completely new game.
