Teutonic Order... What am I missing?

Lithuania just obliterates my army.
It doesn't matter if I order all my vassals to attach their armies to mine; Lithuania has a bigger stack and just wins. Every single time.
Yes, I have the "largest professional army", but it gets stomped by levies all day long.
What am I doing wrong?? (No, I cannot beat smaller Lithuania stacks; by the time I reach the border they've already merged)

Nothing needs to change. You can beat them, handedly.. normal all the way up to VH/VH (albeit with a lil RNG). Caps lock is cruise control for cool.

@OP: I think I had to try it over and over 5-6x before I got it for the first time, but then you get the hang of it. Give it a couple rolls. You'll get there.

Are you playing on 1.3 or 1.4? In 1.3 it should still be possible to snatch smaller armies, i dont know how its currently done in 1.4, i dont think quite good when battles take a few month and Lithuania is able to reinforce battles or if even smaller stacks are still running around.

Dont be shy to end the war very early, its already enough when you have like 20% warscore. The most important stuff for you to get is a bridge to the Livonian Order and that is done with one location already, which should need even far less than 20%. You wont be doing much with the conquered land anyways.

Hold Bohemia as your ally and call them in for actual conquest wars. Apparently Poland and Hungary have a very bad time against Bohemia in 1.4, so i presume, if the Teutons are still able to hold Bohemia as ally, that an early campaign against Poland is the way to go.

Im currently doing a run with TO. U need to attach vassal army to our, wait a few month by reducing war exhaust because u have nearly -13% morale army at start.

Get 5 diplo asap from estate and send all your diplo for military supp, u'll be able to recruit one more professional unit. U dont have to care about dip cap early all the money europe will send is way better.

When your war exhaust is lowered a bit just catch one or two time lithunia it should be easy even with 2-3 war exhaust when they move or siege.

By catching them 2 time and just sieging province without castle u should have 60 to 80 WS.

Keep high relation with bohemia for at least a garanty from them if you cant ally. They will avoid you coalition and help for all the rebel.

I formed Prussia very quickly just for fun, but it’s clearly not the right move in terms of economy and relations.
