Oct 19, 2026 - Demo Small Patch Notes

5:27am

This update focuses on multiplayer stability, vehicles getting stuck, and a few nasty physics bugs. Thanks to everyone who sent feedback reports, they helped a lot.

Multiplayer

Fixed late joins failing and clients going out of sync after a few helicopter deliveries had filled the yard with junk. Large world updates are now split into smaller pieces, so they always get through.

Fixed the dump keeper dialog getting stuck in a loop for the host.

Vehicles

Cargo trikes no longer lock together. Before, a trike could drive under another trike's bed, lift it and carry it away as one stack.

New "Pull Free" action: a stopped, empty vehicle that is stuck inside or on top of another vehicle, a machine or a building can now be pulled free. It is set down upright at the nearest clear spot.

The cargo trike now tilts with its wheels, so it no longer hangs on a kerb or a machine base with its rear wheels in the air.

Getting Unstuck

Emergency Unlock in the pause menu now works whenever you need it, for example when you are wedged between junk. It is only blocked for a short time right after you are knocked down.

If you use Emergency Unlock while riding a stuck vehicle, the vehicle is set down in a clear spot too.

Emergency Unlock now has a 30 second cooldown.

Crafting and Deliveries

Fixed crafted machine boxes falling through the floor and out of the world.

Falling junk sends less network traffic, so big drops cause less lag.

Other Fixes

Rubber gloves now show their own icon instead of the bake pan's.

Thanks for playing, and keep the reports coming!

Note: Every player in a lobby needs this update to play together.

No deliverys

we got a few delivers of scrap in the demo then they stopped is this just a limit for the demo or a bug?

The Recycle Rivals Demo Is Out Now

Oct 17

The Recycle Rivals demo is live. It is free, and you can play it alone or with up to 3 friends.

Start with a sledgehammer

Every morning a helicopter drops fresh junk in the middle of the yard. Smash it, sort it, press it into bales and sell it in town.

Finish with a machine empire

Six lines are open in the demo: metal, plastic, rubber, wood, glass and fiber. Buy blueprints, build shredders, presses, conveyors and scrap arms, and set up a line that keeps working while you are out on the pile.

Beat the other teams to the money

The contract board pays more than any buyer, and every team sees every order. Deliver first and it is yours. After 14 days the richest team wins.

Also in the demo

Vehicles you build yourself, a dismantling bench for junk worth more in pieces, a vending machine in town and a few animals who live there.
