How do you capture the black ship?

I used one fire bomb kobaya, several bow kobayas, 2-3 medium bunes, 3sengoku bunes and a heavybune. Is that enough?

should have been, i just used a full fleet of sengoku bune, and just kept boarding.

Try to divide your fleet in groups, so that the Black Ship cannot switch targets easily. Once you´ve managed to board it with your Medium/Heavy/O Ataka Bune and activated "war cry" your troops would cut the nanban invaders to pieces

I got the Black Ship after the Chosokabe attacked it... when I came it had 6 men and 2 cannons...

I finally learned how to capture the Black Ship. First, don't try to attack it with stacks on the sea. Try instead to surround it on all sides so it cannot move. This means a lot of ships unfortunately, but a few 3-5 stacks of ships (3) or more should suffice.

In manual assault, try to board it, as it cannot fire when being boarded. Remember the movie Fury? You must split up and not try to hit it broadside, otherwise it will rip a heavy bune in two pretty quickly. Keep boarding it and have the ships in line. Turn off autofire. You don't want to accidentally sink it. Keep the line of ships coming, and when a ship of yours surrenders, don't worry, boarding will pull the next ship and push the husk of the previous ship out of the way.

Its a nice trophy war ship for sure. Worth the saves. Legendary setting would have been fun too as I had 40 ships to board it one after the other. :)
