Yes, but at medium to low video settings. The one factor holding you back is the Intel IGP. It is barely usable for 3d gaming.

Unfortunately, there is not a lot you can do about that. In laptops these days you have three options, Good CPU with crap IGP, Good IGP w/ crap CPU, or pay a lot and get a good cpu and an ok discrete GPU, a lot more heat lower battery life, and heavier.

I usually go for an AMD A series APU of at least A8 level. I find that to be the best balance for gaming right now. But, if you use it for work and need the extra CPU an i3 or i5 provide then you will want to live with the crappy IGP.
k, i wish someday intel will make it to where there pc can run laptop ram to that would be awesome so i can swap it with my desktop.

Your graphics card sucks but other then that you have a good laptop it should run. Besides your monitor resolution is 1366 x 768 which most medium spec pcs run in their sleep so you should be fine.

"k, i wish someday intel will make it to where there pc can run laptop ram to that would be awesome so i can swap it with my desktop." just letting you know ram is not expensive if you can afford it.

I know its just that it would be nice the only difference between desktop and laptop is that desktop is longer where laptop is thicker.

With most laptops all you can change is the HDD or RAM and that's it i doubt you can change your Graphics Card. Hence the term "integrated" graphics card

LOL hey if you can then whatever but the Graphics card is integrated into your mother board meaning you will have to find a whole new motherboard (specifically for your laptop) just to replace it causing a lot of hassle. Just get a Desktop much cheaper then a gaming laptop and better to upgrade.

my new computer will be a 4th gen intel i5-3570k,8gb of ram, i will keep my video card for the moment because my processor will make up for its lack of power.
Admiral Oblivious Jul 22, 2013 @ 11:24am
Most modern IGP's are part of the CPU die. So no you can not replace it without replacing the CPU. And, in your case there is no better IGP avalible for that socket.

The i5-3570k is a 3rd gen part. The 4th gen one will be a i5-4570k or some such. Save some money and do not get a K variant. They overclock like crap due to them running hot already, and the few things that are CPU bound for an i5 the minor overclock you would get will be un-noticeble. This will also save you money in the cooling department as you can use the stock heatsink. Invest the extra into a good GPU.

Most games these days are not CPU limited even with a 2nd gen i3. The GPU tends to be the biggest bottle-neck. So the better GPU you get the better precivible preformance.
