DarthMod: Too difficult?
Hello guys! Some time ago I asked some questions here regarding the game playstyle. After some weeks I got some cash, so i decided to buy the game 2 days ago. I downloaded Darthmod for this title (I'm quite familiar with it, from Medieval 2) but... Is it just me or its way too difficult?
You start with the standard quantity of soldiers in your initial army, and that's a bit of disadvantage when fighting against the rebels near your town (in some cases), and your neighbors develop massive armies a lot faster while i'm having trouble conquering a province.

I'm new to this game and, to be honest, i'm a noob at Total War games... but i want to improve.
So I want to ask you guys if you have any tips to share. I've read some of the multiplayer guides, but DarthMod changes quite a lot of stuff... All my siege's results have been, either, Costly victories or Pyrrhic (along with a fair share of crushing defeats).

I'm currently interested in starting the campaign as Uesugi, Mori or Hattori. (BTW I'd appreciate some tips on using Hattori clan effectively).

Thanks a lot in advance! Hope to see you in-game soon!

It is. I like it! I love the units' recolor andthe reworked AI.
This isn't a rant, despite the title. I just need some help with some tipson how to get started or some strategies :(

when you're attacking a castle just wait for them to come out if you can (that is if you don't have enemies nearby) also the start is pretty much the same for all the clans and it's not that hard since it's a 1:1 battle with you being human. Also try to start with a "easy" clan like Shimazu or Date. The nearby clans shouldn't have massive army if you didn't enable the AI Vanilla handicaps.

Darth Mod's great, but both in Darth Mod and in Vanilla sieges are hell. The idea is to starve them out or make them come fight you.

Thank you both for your answers :)

In fact, yesterday i had some trouble with sieges... omfg... it was hell, despite having a larger army my yari units were massacred inside the castle, i didnt even had katana units because i thought the battle would be "easy" since i was attacking the nearest enemy base (Kono base, played as Chosokabe).

Do you have any tips on how to make your units last longer or crush those defenses? Also, something on open field battles.

Btw, how do i disable the handicap?

You can disable/enable it through the darthmod configuration UI. For the tactical part don't trow everything at the enemy, flank them and attack from there while with the cavalry you just need to attack from behind/flank while they're busy and run away as soon as the momentum is gone. Since you were playing as the Chokosabe try to use as much as you can your bows and remove the fire at will thing.

Do you mean the alternate launcher found in TWCenter?

No, I was talking about the classic one:
extra gameplay options -> click on whatever you want except vanilla AI handicaps
