Taking a woman (who would never be permitted to lead men in feudal Japan) and maknig her the head of a clan, and possibly even Shogun, is not 'rewriting' history, it is making stuff up.

The devs wanted a realistic game, yes, but they also gave people the editor and workshop to experiment and get creative.
There's nothing wrong with that. Actually, it's a very interesting idea.
Now, if you insist being anal retentive, there were actually some powerful women back then in Japan. No female daimyos maybe, but that doesn't mean they didn't get things done or even lead an army in times of need.
I guess I'll have to read up on modding and roll my own. Oh well, there are worse things than having to work a little for what you want.

I've never used the "assembly kit" or whatever the new modding tool is,but Pack File Manager would likely be enough to open up and examine the mod.
