hmm dont change or add port if it worked last night that can change something if a mistake has been added..or forwarded
thats is only needed if no connection is possible and required by router or gateway
check with other people, or test with new game allso if save game is corrupted or try older save game where you loose a turn or two...or quicksave
can you both find a test person so you can eliminate the problem who has a connection bug
if all work after that then i dont know what happend one of you might have had a update and forgot about it or make a rollback to previous system setting or one of you has got addware or need a pc clensing
try the new addware cleaner some say it can fix it...
more and more can confirm that it seem to work
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/
Ccleaner and allso remember repair registration ( rep and remove junk files so windows system can respond better )
https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download
Can your computer run that game?
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
( i think its just ID the hardware, it do not say current driver is uptodate..
i have added the link because, some get the game and dont have the hardware to run it or operation system )
are u trying to run it in dx11 and dont have the spec for it ?
and are you laptop user ?... stop using balance mode or max power schematic use or make a full power scematic then playing 3D games...and offcause power cord is plug in ...
and allso make virtual swap file if only 4gb ? make it 4-8gb swapfile so system dont have to resize and waste time on it while playing all depend allso on the speed of the hard disk allso ?
The evening before, I connected to the co-op multiplayer campaign astral was hosting on the first try. We never had any connection issues the whole time we played - no latency to speak of, no desync, and at the end of the session both of us saved and quit, thinking we'd be fine to pick up where we left off next time.
The evening we had the issues, neither of us had done anything to change our settings. No graphics driver updates, no OS updates, no port forwarding, no different hardware. You can imagine my surprise when my attempts to join the lobby kept getting rejected with a 'no response from host' message.
Poking around, we eventually thought it might be a desync issue, so we made sure we both had the same local save file. Still nothing. Both of us tried hosting a new game. Neither one could connect, and we both kept getting the same error message. We both ran an integrity check on the game cache and came up empty-handed.
The only thing I can point to as a changed variable between the two attempts is a smallish update for Shogun 2 that went through Steam sometime yesterday. It's not a question of hardware specs, as both of us are using desktops that had no trouble running the game the last time we tried. Neither of us came down with malware or bloatware - I even checked my registry just to be sure.
The most perplexing side to this is that it's not like we can't connect to each other's games generally. We do it all the time in other games. We did it before in this game, and now we can't, which is the problem. Since nothing seems to have changed except that patch, I'm forced to conclude the patch is most likely the thing that went wrong - except I have no idea what that patch does, since it unhelpfully doesn't come with documentation. We can't roll back to the last configuration where things worked because it was applied through Steam, so I'm a little bit perplexed.
you need third party you both try and that maybe only locate it, but what todo about it that CA at total war forum,
this is allso 2 errors now...
you cant even connect now ?
or still fail to join host that is a connect but that is typical a not same game version or other things that have change
please verify game can even work in single play before steam friend join system chat
have any of you allowed firewall or antivirus program yesterday and after reboot that rule was never added ? or lost that will allso make sense if such is blocking now...
Neither of us have altered any firewall exceptions. As I said before, the only variable that appears to have changed is the update.
can the third player create game to the other 2 ...if this is the case he can then im clueless i hope one will fail then you have a idea
allso recommend best pc to be host
the single player test is only for is game running at all ... so many get hit by splash screen bug
and if host send invite to client but cant even join then that could look like a fail to join
and forwarded the relevant ports issue ?
and i read it as was added after yeasterday then all worked... ( verify this again if u send to right place or remove entry )
if it was not need yesterday then it should not have been added ...change back reboot router so config is reload and loaded from file and not the memory ( some routers do that - coldboot)
and this is allso why a third party test dude should be used to create or atleast check that it do work if this can narrow down to 1 pc
allso with the third dude can u load a save game or is that allso corrupted ..try coldboot just incase...
but i still agree with you it dont make any sense, then it work first time
some times ago i bougth the rome2 and got a game launcher for all tw serie but that has been removed again..could it been that problem here ? i dont think so...they have allready remove it again , i just mention because maybe its a rome2 trigger effect and corrected by shogun2 after that ?
Is anyone else getting this? Has anyone else had this and fixed it?
Please help :(
hi
first its also part of network issue, depend on every custom to a isp,but it also seen before that some people have 2 routers in the house and is on the 2 , its a 1 router error it ever send reply back to 2 router, but i doubt its that issue, the other solutions can be who said you was allowed in in the other end,
this is why i use a third part person to check connection issue with, so point of view in who cant create a game and who cant join, worst case multi errors in all directions, bad netcard driver (nic)
bad routering or cable, issue , not the first time i have seen cable look like crap and people step on them and think all is okay. ( cable has a twisted solutions to protect themself dont step on them you can break the connection if untwisted and make more bad CRC errors so DC getting even worse,
sorry for the it expalnations but its need to know such issue,
this area is normal for educated it skilled people with some sort of a network understanding
and even in that area alone alot of people think they know it all and they dont
even my education told me after the test and now you know 7% of network engineer, do i feel stupid after that remark.. hell yeah...lol
