That is really the only good advice I can give you ^^;
Also, kisho ninja should be used almost like cavalry, as a part of your hammer and anvil. Charge into the enemy, and then have the kisho ninja come from behind. Did you know their 'stealth' ability also gives them more attack and a higher charge? Crazy lol
Night battles lower morale, and make it easier for units to rout. That's why having ninjas is a good tactic because they are incredibly good shock troops.
1. I mainly use yari samurai, because you can give them a runspeed/charge boost, wich works well with kisho training. You can just surround the enemy during deployment and instantly charge them from all sides when the battle begins
2. Any units except monks. Monks are great units, but they don't get "kisho training", and when you play Hattori, you play it because of kisho training imho.
3. Kisho ninja's have an ablity to become very stealthy, when activated they can even run and stay hidden. Stealth does not mean invisible, if you get too close, they will get spotted.
Without using the ability you get spotted faster when moving.
A good way to use kisho ninjas (especially when the AI is camping a hill or forrest) is to deploy them behind the enemy army and let them wait while hidden. Then move your army close to the enemy (just outside archer range).
When you are ready to attack, have your kisho ninja run towards the enemy. (I ussually charge at their general)
Use the stealth ability to get close, so he cant charge YOU instead or flee)
The AI will respond because they see the ninjas running behind them, and they will break their formation in order to defend the rear.
Once the enemy breaks its own formation, charge your army towards the chaos you just created.
4. Sure, why wouldn't it be?
5. Night battles are some sort of surprise attack, when playing night battles, neither you nor the enemy can get reinforcements.
However, enemies can spot you if you enter their detection range:
- Grass: 100-150 m
- Shrubs: 75 m
- Forest: 50 m
Try to avoid ranged cavalry and ranged infantry as they have the highest spotting ranges.
When you group up your army and try to click outside of the deployment zone, you might notice that you cant move them there. This is because your general can not deploy outside the yellow zone. Deselect your general and you will see that now you can deploy outside the zone.
This goes aswell for naginata- and bow monks and any other unit that has no kisho training. Just look at your unit cards to see if a unit has kisho training or not.
The kisho ability is double edged sword. It can be good in certain maps but sometimes it really offers nothing. The thing which makes it double edge is that it makes every troop of yours who has it a large upkeep. Which means you will be tight on money.
You have to think carefully about positioning your kisho ninjas. The A.I. will always try to take hills and and if they're attacking they'll come to you. That combined with the ability to place outside the regular deployment zone, you can place your ninja in key areas that will give you an upper hand in fights.
Also, never put them outside forests... ever, and don't make them run unless you're using the stealth ability.
Don't light cav also have high spotting ranges too?
