other brief guide nail it ...as basic try inforce that in the game and get more diversity in the clans

but if oda is hard how come that spear tactic is the best and was so easy for me while i struggle alot more with other clans, and a little luck do count depend on the level you start on.
stay with the easy choise clan, spear , bow, sword, ability clans then that is done then you are ready for the longterm research clan ... i did oda way to late according to the hard level...
you will soon notice that reseach skill tree is the key and its not that easy to get it if others declare war on you, so you will need a little of both in bushido or chi before you can focus on clan very core abilitys...if you want to stick to clans ability or try to
Yeah Oda's ashigaru all have lower upkeep (although I think Ikko Ikki might be lower), but higher combat capability. If you have the DLC, you can recruit Oda Long Yari Ashigaru.
It's possible to have multiple stacks of experienced Oda ashigaru trouncing smaller numbers of enemy samruai.
Also, although Oda's postion is initially vulnerable, once you secure the moutain pass into Kiso, and the Tokkaido road, you are very safe. Both of these areas can be blocked with a good fortress and a relatively small army. This allows Oda to go into the Omi area right away and start consolidating around Kyoto, whereas many other clans have to fight through tons of provinces to get there.
I like Ikko Ikki.
They are vulnerable at the start, but can become unstoppable if you mange them well.
I don't know about the unstoppable bit because they really suck, Katana ronin have fewers numbers than katana samurai, bow monk have no armour at all, only one monk hero compare to 10 in other factions, cannot recruit nun which is dumb, one choice of cavalry which need superior horses. The only, ONLY good thing is that theur matchlock monk is nearly on par with portugueses terco in terms of shooting.
I give myself unlimited koky and find my self corner to 3 province by Oda
I dont know why you saying Ikko Ikki really sucks, loan sword ashigaru spam is just as scary as Oda ashigaru spam even til late game. Ikko Ikki loan sword ashigaru is just unstoppable
