Retraining Units

I'm playing Rise of the Samurai and have a blacksmith in one of my towns which allows me to train armoured units. Is there a way to refit my current units stationed there? They are the right troop type but lack the armour icon.

i have same idea on other units,, ships copper plating actual american did that with wooden ships ... but no you cant refit units or upgrade them , atleast that should be allowed but same time should the upkeep also raise

You can't retrain units in shogun2 or it's expansions. You will have to recruit new units from that province in order to benefit from the upgrade.

Oh balls, you are right. I been playing the Paradox titles so I got used to different rules.

You can join beatn up units together thought woulnd that help ?

Shogun 2 don't have retraining system like M2TW; It returned in Rome 2.

But yeah, you can merge depleted units together, at least. Ctrl-M
