none, they both make a fuse over all the things they think is best, but with so overhaul of game
you will hit loads of bugs and see passivity gameplay from AI. and i'm not the first one that mention that...
but if you want to see huge armies on campaign map - 4-5 full stack enemies at the front lines then this is for you + you also get the castle build up, but that is nothing new in that
only then its added to the battle so time 60minute on battlemap and they keep send reinforcement in that flow you kill them in...
so you most have a stable very good pc that can handle this , if unit size has been maxed
and then you will have bigger trouble with fit unit in defense wall and such
and odd ghost ships and in some case stock men in wall at castle...
that was dathmod in general and then i read radious change , but this can be broke down to many smaller mods some of the idea sounds good ... but all of them no way in hell that to far fetch imo.
problem with darthmod is the setting he has change that you cant undo.. lower ashigaru moral on units and the size of army you did then you start the campaign you have to stick with it or new campaign. but it seem do not change unit size could be a good thing, so castle defense unit will fit in the walls and you can better controll spearwall and other tac we did before the mod...imo something goes wrong here not sure what that is
but again whats is the point of huge armies if the just stand and do nothing
so i was force to build up and gather my agents and they i did as all commander do strike and split and terminate them one by one...no big deal ...
lets hear other hornest judgement, if they dare and see what other those thougts is
maybe its just me that wanna stick to much to the general gameplay
the only major overhaul mod that has playabiltiy problems is Sekigahara Campaign... Darth and Radious are just as stable as vanilla (which is to say, not 100% as with every TW game since Rome 1 but especially the more recent warscape ones)
Radious are too much of a grindfest. Units in Campaign are too cheap and too numerous; AI raises armies after armies like its nothing. Units in Battlefield have such unshakable morale, men fight without fear till the last men; meaning flanking attacks and morale shock useless. The game become a matter of whose have the more numbers.
Darthmod is a pretty good overhaul mod...except for the accuracy - all ranged projectiles so inaccurate they are almost useless. Darth went overboard at adding spread value into the projectiles; I mean, an archer can't even hit a broad side of a barn level of spread value.
I recommend Shougun II Total Realism.
those mods is so big that in dartmod case you cant just do some of it you agree on, and i can see im not the only one with that idea, and then it is complex to judge
hehe please try be more detail. if you want other to try your idea, atleast the name of them because that is the exactly why i dont want run all of them and some need others to work
I find that it doesnt change the base game too much and only improves on it. Also avoid the Unit Cost/Upkeep mod it ♥♥♥♥♥ things up big time.
I usually play on H/H.
most of us has fiddle with the idea to change game but, some of the mod goes way off my personal taste,
Darthmod is good for Shogun 2 sengoku and FOTS because of the customizable launcher, you can switch on and off a ton of different settings and actually despite what Iceira has said I find the AI plays way way more aggresive and appears slightly more intelligent in actual battles.
I don't no the exact figure but around 170 hours of my Shogun 2 playtime has been with various differe darthmod settings (playing around with it) and in those 170 hours I experienced 1 bug cause by a steam patch that I was able to fix myself (after the patch bow sounds were replaced with gun sounds)...... not a single CTD not a single bug in a battle no other problems whatsoever.
Agreed.
For Napoleon and Empire, Darthmod was more or less essential because CA never fixed the terrible musket sounds, poor line formations, kill rate, etc.
But I've always found Shogun 2 vanilla works a lot better than the modded versions.
I'd like one that reduces the research a bit, and I'd like to be able to field Onna Bushi, since they did fight in field battles, not just defensive sieges.
