How to get warrior nuns

I built the famous Buddhist temple, the nodachi dojo, but I can’t hire them. And the hero Sohei also doesn’t work out, they simply don’t exist.

I also built a naginata dojo, I play for Uesugi

Uhh I thought the Temple complex should be all you need, and obviously Incense and the research to acquire the building, I have had them in a pool to recruit before, but the only real advantage you get from using nuns is you save a building slot because you don't need spear dojo, as you would with warrior monks.

Is your temple complex and naginata dojo in the same province?
Sn3z is right. You don't even need the dojo for the warrior nun.
Are you playing with any mods that might have changed the buildings required for these units?

I found the answer to my question. Unfortunately, these units require an Ikko-Ikki dlc. Oh my god it's so difficult

Which is funny because the Ikko Ikki cannot recruit them.

Nobody had warrior nuns when the game first came out. The Ikko ikki was just the clan released on that update. It happens to be the update they added warrior nuns to the game as well. One is not necessarily tied to the other.

I am rather proud of being obvious, much better than being easy. Like we used to say in wrestling, a fish. Or Capainpunko like that one dude you like so much on the forums...

I also actually looked and they made a point of saying they were for every clan but the Ikko Ikki. I suspect it may be a counter to the Ikko warrior monks being more powerful than regular. But then the Uesugi got marathon monks with more powerful regular monks too. I have no doubt there was a reason, but there is no one left to ask anymore at CA. So anyone's guess is as good as Markeason's or yours or mine.

And I'd say I'm intrigued as to why someone shows up out of the blue in June 2024, posts in just one steam forum for a game that's 14 years old. But I'd be lying.
