Change Stronghold?
When my daimyo, the shogun has sons, they are born/live/advance to general back in my original province, is it possible to somehow set it so they are in kyoto so i dont have to march across half the map?

In previous titles you could change your capital, however that is not possible in Shogun 2; short of losing your original capital - which as the Satsuma for example, is rather hard once you've gone through and up to Kyoto.

Thats exactly what ive got going on. Shame. Im having to march across half of japan to get any generals from my capital to kyoto, which is the current battlefield.

Actually, if you set up individual ships that can move to the next ship within their movement points you can essentially warp a general around the islands within the same turn. Just board him on the ship at the dock, move that ship to the next ship, and carry this on until you get where you want him. Then next turn after landing he can move.

Basically the army stack or in this case, the individual unit always stays with the last ship in any naval stack. So the general has really done nothing but been transported like a series of football - but more aptly, rugby lateral passes.
