Startup: Shogun 2 has stopped working :(

Hello, I have a problem with my shogun 2. When I press start, everything is normal, it goes to the startup thingy saying "shogun 2, copy rights and what not" and then my cursor becomes the game one, and seconds later it says " Shogun 2 has stopped working", I have uninstalled twice and same problem persists. the 170 hours i currently have are from another computer. Now I have this pc but it doesn't work, and it saddens me because this is my favourite game of the franchise.

I would really really appreciate some help!

@ryanwalsh123 , you are a new post entry, and we cant mindread here, have understand the default browser issue and have you done the above suggestion ?

1.refresh your pc
2.download the game
3.deaktivate all add-ons
4.install

you have a gfx driver issue ,, that has nothing todo with browser

I have done everything that has been said, it was working last night and i haven't done anything to cause an issue, aha
i've ran check's for problems and updates and nothing comes back
any suggestions @Iceira

use http://filehippo.com/ to see if other third part program on your pc is not update,

use iobit driver booster to fix whatever driver issue you have ...gl with it

the error window said it all graphic setting is not there,,, so gfx card driver is missing or need a update

Ok guys, this is what I did and I just got the game working again, good as new.

> Run "regedit.exe" to open up the Windows Registry.
> Hit "Ctrl+F" to bring up the search window.
> Type "Chrome" and search.
> Use "F3" to jump from one search item to another more easily.
> Delete EVERY file that is related to Google Chrome you can find. Please be careful as tweaking with the registry can mess up your computer. Make sure you are deleting files related to Google Chrome ( they should say Chrome somewhere in the file path or name ).

Yeah using that iobit is a big help it's shown a lot of my drivers are old aha, so up-dating them as we go xD, thanks dude :) i will inform you on the results

and again you need to do read first support after that and do it.... incredibar and REDIST with DXSETUP... all those driver can change it,depend on how old they are and buggy they was.

ok I just used a program called Acronis True Image to restore my computer using whats called an image. I restored it back to when I had setup what I called an initial copy back in feb of 2014. I just booted it up and it runs shogun 2 just fine. I have NOT let it do any updating of drivers or OS from the initial time I restored it so im going to start updating the OS and when that finishes ill try to run it again and repeat that process for the other hardware.

on a side note I made another image a night or two ago so that I don't lost anything major I want to keep. ill transfer over the stuff I want then eventually junk the newer image since its proven to be messed up in some way shape or form.
