Is the multiplayer worth it?

So im sick of Rome2 multiplayer, they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up so much that i will never buy a game of them until they bring back the multiplayer system from Rome1.
But i heard Shogun2 has also a good multiplayer.
How balanced is it?
Are the units from dlcs overpowered?
Are there any gun/cannon ♥♥♥♥? I want good fight with cav/bow/sword etc units, not some lame pistolsnerds.

I have played in multiplayer so guys are far from me so i got lag or either i play with a friend online or either a lot of time matchmaking solo lead to a 5 star gold player against you and you lose due to the OP skill he has and you don't

yeah, thats what i sadly expected. This unbalances are funkiller. I hope, one day they will realize how awesome Rome1 multiplayer was and reimplement it.

I've played over 300 hours of Shogun 2. Atleast 280 hours of it is in multiplayer.

It is well balanced in my opinion.

No I don't think the units from dlcs are overpowered, they are decent but I choose to fight with the non dlc units because they are more fun imo. There's a cavalry unit which is very good and it's from dlc but you can play as well without the dlc, plus you can only have one of that cav unit in your army so.

If you play normal Shogun 2, not mixed with FoTS, there are european cannons, rockets and matchlocks unit, but not many use those. Matchlocks units are somewhat popular but have lower range than bows so you should be able to kill them. European cannons and rockets mainly gets used only in siege battles, I haven't seen them that much. Usually you can get a good fight with cav/bow/sword etc. And you can always get a friend on Shogun 2 so you can fight with rules.

It's a really good game I just don't know how popular the multiplayer auto matchmaking is. Server browser is pretty bad and dead imo.
You should be able to find matches in auto matchmaking. Might take from 20 seconds to a 2 mins to find a match.

shogun 2 multiplayers is quite fair, but make sure u stick with your own version. which means if you only have the original shogun 2, never try to go into a room with "fall of samurai" players in it. if u have dlc, u have some specialize unit but not really op. because they take up more money at the same time.

DLC units are better compared to the standard ones. Just take a look on wako raider, they are way way cheaper than kat sams, but a lvl6 wako raider compete with a kat sam lvl6.
Those dlc's are very cheap now, so i would buy them, at least sengoku jidai, where you get fire cav, wako raiders, long yari, bulletproof sam. Those units are beasts.

The multiplayer settings on any game is a pain, it mainly because of servers, and broadband across the world, some are better, and some are worst! The Multiplayer option should have a broadband error and stability software, to tell you if your broadband is ok for the gameplay, or your going to have problems due to pings and drop of server!
