Shogun 2 runs "First Time Setup" every time

I had trouble getting Shogun 2 to run at all, and have resolved that, so thanks again to all who helped with that.

Now, I have a new problem. It's not as crippling, more of an annoyance, but if I could get that fixed it would be super as well.

Every time I start the game up, it has to run the "Performing First Time Startup" actions, trying to install "Microsoft VC Redist Package" and "DirectX", both of which I know I already have. It takes several minutes for my PC to figure this out.

I played this game on my previous PC and never had that issue. Is there any way I can circumvent this so I don't have to wait as long to play? Thanks!

you have administrator issue or some files is read only by mistake somehow check userdata also, best guess i have

For the records: Delete the installscript.vdf in Shoguns Steam directory.
