Soft-Desync issue
Me and a buddy have been playing a game of FoTS together, but we keep getting into issues reminisent of a desync, without getting a full desync which would normally crash the game or make us return to the main menu.

instead, we get stuck wehre one is initiating battle and the other gets nothing. The only fix we've found is to start a new campaign, which absolutely sucks when we are 70+ turns in..

Anyone else experience anything similar and know of a solution that isn't as destructive?

if this works, then you are truly an angel!

We will try to do this next time we get the issue.

the host must make backup saves approximately every 3 turns so that in case of out of sync, send a backup save to a friend, this always works

luckily that has not been our experience.

We Just ran into this recently and it was not an issue in a 100+ turn campaign we've done about half a year ago. PistolChimps solution proved to also work for us in this case, and the game has been going smoothly for 15 turns now.

The reason for making regular saves is so that when it does happen, no matter how infrequently, you can swap a relatively recent file and not have to replay too many turns.

Worst case, the Autosave should suffice, but i have also incrased the frequency of saves in general. Just in case.
