Yari Ashigaru are cheap,and super cheap for the oda.
1.Yari Ashigaru on Defence(no Yari wall)
Vs Yari Ashigaru (they wins,duh)
Vs Katana Ashigaru(Loan Swords) (They lose,but it takes time)
Vs Yari Samurai (Still takes time for them to shatter)
Vs Katana Samurai ni Gozaimaz (they hold for 36 seconds when alone)
Vs Naginata Samurai (They still holds,but holds longer)
Vs No Dachi Samurai (Ashigaru = Paper , No Dachi = Chainsaw)
2. Yari Ashigaru On Defence (Yari wall) [P.S I think Yari wall gives a little morale boost]
Vs Yari Ashigaru (they wins more,duh)
Vs Katana Ashigaru(Loan Swords) (they has 40% Chance to win)
Vs Yari Samurai (Almost win!)
Vs Katana Samurai (Takes time,just keep those ashigaru morale high,and they will hold from 1545 to 2016)
Vs Naginata Samurai (They win,just try it yourself,1 Yari ashigaru + Yari wall Vs Naginata Samurai)
Vs No Dachi Samurai (Ashigaru = Paper , No Dachi = Chainsaw)
3.Yari Ashigaru on Charge
Vs Yari Ashigaru (they Lose,duh)
Vs Katana Ashigaru(Loan Swords) (They lose)
Vs Yari Samurai (they shatter quite fast)
Vs Katana Samurai ( DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT CHARING YARI ASHIGARU TO KATANA SAMURAI !!!)
Vs Naginata Samurai (Yari Ashigaru are ded)
Vs No Dachi Samurai (Ashigaru = Pot , No Dachi = Blade)
4.Yari Ashigaru attack move with yari wall
Vs Yari Ashigaru (they wins,slowly)
Vs Katana Ashigaru(Loan Swords) (They lose,but it takes time)
Vs Yari Samurai (Lose,but it takes minutes)
Vs Katana Samurai (they takes time to shatter)
Vs Naginata Samurai (They wins,since the yari wall makes them slower,and increase the melee defend,I think)
Vs No Dachi Samurai (Ashigaru = Wall , No Dachi = Miley Cyrus)

Nobody with sense uses Yari Ashigaru in any formation other than a spear wall in a defensive position.

You can beat full Samurai armies with Ashigaru armies, if you are tactful, which I am not sure if you are because you have offered some of these tips which are nonsense, let alone you seem unsure of some of these yourself.

I ALLWAYS put yari Ashigaru infront of the inner wall, with guns and bow to suport them. no one can take them down. hehehe I never try to defend the all the walls. no point

i love guns so i think of yari spears as like gun soldiers, but they ran out of bullets so they have to use bayonettes. they are the best gun soldiers in the game if you think of it this way.

In multiplayer, Skilled nag sams, yari sams or katana sams are the best choice to Charge a yari wall frontally!
