Adobe flash player?

Is it true that the game forces you to install Adobe flash player? I'm going to upgrade to a new computer soon and I don't want to see Adobe flashplayer in it in any shape, form or version. I don't even want to "install then uninstall it straight after I've launched the game first time". Is there a way to "decline" to install AFP to the computer in the first place when launching the game the first time?

Naw i just hit cancel and its all good.
And this is on a brand new pc from last march i have 0 issues.

reinstall ...flash I guess?

Flash should not install anymore. You can't get newest on offi site either and many programs removed it already, like some stand alone media players.

Are you sure they have removed Adobe Flashplayer from Shogun 2? Can you confirm this?

I assume it used to use flash player that was installed on your system,but can't say for sure

As of 3/28/2021 Shogun 2 is still trying to install flash. If the Steam organization still had a soul it would be deeply embarrassed for inflicting such a terrible security risk on its customers, but that ship sailed a looong time ago.

The adobe flash plugin, is still required on the windows version to play the campaign videos, like with the ninjas or when you recruit a new type of unit. The plugin shouldn't affect your security since it isn't a browser plugin.

But if you are that worried about it, you can play the linux version by feral that has quicker loading times and doesn't require third party stuff to run.

I'm assuming if you dont have it installed, the game will crash upon accessing this part....or you wont get the intended experience if it doesnt crash.... Or maybe flash is needed elsewhere that no one knows about.... well the encyclopedia will still be readable it only affects the tutorial videos for fall of the samurai that are inside the encyclopedia they still have sound they just a stactic purple covering the video

Well someone said it was specifically for those videos so I just wanted to confirm
