encyclopedia tutorial video

I still haven't found a solution to play these videos. Unless they are totally garbage, I feel that I definetely need them to understand the game. (a bigger UI would help too!)

My OS is win 10 and I have tried changing several browsers to default, installed the flash player and I am still getting the plugin error message.

Any suggestions?

I didn't find the tutorial very useful. My suggestion would be start a campaign and have at it. If I was looking for more details I'd either ask here or watch some YT videos (of which there are literally hundreds).

You can listen to the audio easily enough. The MP3 files are located here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Total War SHOGUN 2\data\encyclopedia\video

You could download a file converter application and convert the F4v video files to a playable format, but it really isn't worth the effort.

I would go with easytarget's suggestion, dive into the game and learn it on the fly or, spend a few hours watching some youtube game play to get to grips with the mechanics.

You can also ask here and be inundated with conflicting suggestions about how you should play the game :)

[Edit]: Not sure what you are after when you want a bigger UI. If it is the text size that is the problem, subscribing to this mod in the workshop might help -

Hey thanks for the replies. I liked the idea of not having to alt-tab etc to check some stuff but I already started doing it the way you are suggesting.

Regarding the UI, it's about everything...mainly the text, sure, but not only this. The artwork of the buttons, for example, is irrelevant as I barely see what is drawn.
I downgraded the resolution to help a bit and wouldn't like to start fiddling with mods; I have my fair share of spending too much time on making mods work instead of playing.

I have the completely vanilla game, so would the mod you 're suggesting be ok?

The bigger font mod is no problem. I have been using it for thousands of hours of game play.

There are a couple of instances where the increased size means that not all the text fits in the box and so is truncated but, as best I remember, it is only flavour text and not critical information.

It can be easily deactivated or unsubscribed via the mod manager in the game launcher if you don't like it.
