is that no more mod manager before launching the game after update?, how to manage the mod then?

Broken until fixed by CA, can be circumvented by manually enabling the mods through the user.script in the %appdata%/the_creative_assembly/shogun2/scripts/user.script

it works for me. i would just revert to beta version of the game through properties instead because i dont trust random files on the internet so easily

I updated the guide so that you could also restore benchmarks, but after that the guide got stuck on an automatic check, hope it becomes visible again soon.

I am not on Linux or Mac. Is there one for windows? Or does this matter?

Once you are in the user.script you enable the mods in this format for pack files
example
mod Arrowcannon_sound_fix.pack;
or
mod diplomacyfix.pack; and so on, you find the names of the mods where you store your steam games example steamapp/common/Total_War_Shogun_2/data
